August 19th 2005:
ramsac, a leading IT solutions provider, today announced the topic of its next South East Professional Services Forum, which will focus on mobile working. As always, this will be a free forum, hosted by ramsac at its offices in Godalming, Surrey on the 15th September. By holding regular events of this kind, ramsac aims to educate local Surrey SMEs on the latest technologies that will assist companies to grow their businesses. The mobile working forum in September will demonstrate how, by harnessing these new technologies, SMEs can reap the benefits of a more mobile workforce.
In today’s modern business environment providing mobile and remote workers with access to their emails, calendars and company databases is an achievable and important aim. By using relatively simple technologies SMEs are able to arm their employees with the ability to access information remotely at the touch of a button, anywhere in the world. Mobile working has significant benefits to a company, creating streamlined processes via mobile devices reduces the slow and error prone updates of information and enables employees to act on urgent enquiries easily.
Managing Director of ramsac, Robert May explains, “As Microsoft launch their latest service pack that will provide email, calendar and contact information to be accessed via a mobile phone, it has never been easier to remotely enable your workforce. This forum aims to offer Surrey SMEs key information and advice on mobile working as well as an excellent opportunity to network with other local companies.”
Key note speaker, Marc Begg of iAnywhere, a leading provider of mobile software solutions, comments, “Creating a mobile workforce is not just about replacing paper-based or desktop systems with a mobile solution, it is about focusing on initiating innovative solutions that improve all aspects of the business – from the ability to capture time-critical information and to be able to transmit this information, to being able to access data from anywhere, at any time. By implementing these solutions mobility offers an entirely new way of doing business.”
ramsac has been successfully hosting the South East Professional Services Forum for the past two years, offering local businesses an opportunity to keep abreast of new technology and how it can help to improve business operations.
This is the third of the 2005 South East Professional Services Forum programme and will be held on Thursday 15th September at 17:00 at the ramsac offices in Ashcombe Court, Godalming, Surrey. Contact Melanie.wilcock@ramsac.com to book your place. More information can be found at www.ramsac.com.
