14 employees from the Surrey based IT solutions consultancy ramsac, were cheered on by crowds of on-lookers on Sunday 2nd November as they raced the 10 kilometre cross country course around Loseley Park in Guildford to raise money for the local children’s charity CHASE.
The grounds of the stunning Loseley House saw participants arrive bright and early on Sunday morning ready to run either the 4k or 10k race in aid of CHASE. The 10k route featured a mixture of surfaces including roads, fields and sandy tracks to challenge the runners. CHASE is a local charity that is dedicated to offering a diversity of needs based care and support to life-limited children and their families.
Team captain and Managing Director of ramsac, Robert May, comments, “We are delighted to have raised a fantastic £3,100 for CHASE, they contribute so much to our local community and it is great to be able to give something back.”
The ramsac team featured competitors from across the company. As well as Directors Robert May, Dan May and Sally Cooper, team ramsac also included Finance Assistant Carol Wainhouse, Support Consultants Greg Phillips, Nick Thomas, Charlotte Hopkins, Damian Freitas and Ollie Warwick, Network Consultants Robert Horton, Matthew Tibbs, Simon Gibbon and Neil Benham and Relationship Manager Nina Morley.
The star runner of the ramsac team, Nick Thomas, was the first of the team to cross the line with a time of 50 minutes and 53 seconds.
May continues, “Raising money for CHASE is especially important to us, we have worked with them for many years and more recently, they have provided direct support to one of our own colleagues and his family. We hope that our donation can be used to help other families who find themselves in similar situations.”
