Leading IT solutions consultancy ramsac is pleased to announce it has become a sponsor of the Heat Basketball Club. As well as sponsoring the team, which won the British Basketball League (BBL) in 2007 and were the runners up in 2008, ramsac will also provide ongoing IT support for the club at its Guildford headquarters.
Paul Mew, Technical Director at ramsac, feels it is important for the company to support local Surrey community groups: “We are very proud to be sponsoring the Heat, a team which is really putting Surrey on the sporting map. The team relies heavily on its website and emails to co-ordinate activities, especially during the hectic BBL season and we are pleased to be offering the team our IT support services.”
Alan McClafferty, Managing Director of the Heat commented: “The team completely relies on support from sponsors, such as ramsac, and fans to help us reach the top of the league and promote basketball. We are delighted that ramsac has decided to support us and ensure that basketball talent and our strong work in the community can continue to thrive in Surrey.”
The Heat also develops young local basketball talent in the form of the Heat Academy, giving young people the chance to progress through the ranks of the junior teams, potentially becoming members of the Heat first team squad.
