About ramsac

Why your job is important to us.

We are “at the heart of IT” for all our customers, and as a Technical Consultant, you are the face of our business, and the person that is responsible for ensuring that clients  environments run smoothly and securely! Your job is to be proactive, professional and friendly – working on projects, rolling out new solutions, planning and delivering upgrades, migrations and new networks, pulling together third parties and other ramsac specialists and being the client’s part time IT manager. The feeling you leave the client with after your interaction will often form that clients whole opinion of our firm. To our clients, you are ramsac!

Technical brilliance

You will spend much of your time out with our clients, most of whom are based in London or the South East of England.

On a day to day basis you will:

  • Manage your own portfolio of ramsac clients – leading, securing and maintaining their environment or fitting in as a specialist member of their own in house team
  • Visit client sites for regular maintenance visits, project delivery or in the event of an emergency
  • Work with new technology and deal with a variety of clients and environments
  • Create detailed planning reports and work with ramsac colleagues to deliver successful projects within budget and agreed timeframes
  • Complete audits and health checks for prospective business
  • Work closely with our Relationship Team to help our clients make the right decisions
  • Assist our remote support team with escalated support requests
  • Work with new, or non-contracted clients to scope large pieces of work
  • Work with the Head of Technical Services to rollout new products and services
  • Support your colleagues across the business when they need help

  • Tech certifications in the Microsoft 365 platform, Microsoft Server, Hyper-V or VMWare
  • Experience in a multi client environment

Changing IT support providers, like changing lawyers, is not a decision any business takes lightly or frequently. The decision is fraught with numerous questions such as whether the new team will understand my business needs, will it cause teething problems, and more importantly, will the reality match the sales pitch! We took that decision to move to Ramsac in January after ten years with another provider and we have not regretted that choice for a moment. Ramsac are simply great! From the get go we have been very well supported from the front line very helpful telephone support team right up to our relationship manager. We feel that the Ramsac team are very much an integral part of us . What however has driven us to write this review is the fabulous support we have received following a cyber attack this week. Something no business wants to happen but is increasingly a sad factor of modern cyber life. I have known Dan May and Ramsac for 5 or 6 years now. Dan is such a great guy and really helpful with strategic advice and input on all things IT. He's so approachable and doesn't baffle you with IT jargon. If you are looking to outsource your IT or you have a problem you need help with Dan is definitely the one to ask.
