ramsac’s proud to sponsor TEDxGuildford

We are proud to be sponsoring TEDxGuildford on 27th June 2025 at Guildford College. After sponsoring TEDxWoking for four years in a row, this sponsorship is special to us, as it allows us to support and give back to our local community.

As an organisation we are committed to supporting innovation, sustainability, and forward-thinking ideas that shape the future, which pairs beautifully with this year’s theme, ‘The Future We Are Creating.’

TED is a non-profit, non-partisan organisation committed to uncovering, discussing, and sharing ideas that inspire conversation, enhance understanding, and drive meaningful change. Founded in 1984 as a conference bringing together Technology, Entertainment, and Design, TED has since expanded into a global network of communities and initiatives, exploring topics ranging from science and business to education, the arts, and global challenges.

In the spirit of discovering and sharing ideas, TED has developed TEDx – a programme of locally organised events that bring people together to experience the essence of TED. This TEDx Guildford event,  TED Talks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.

When: 27th June 2025

Time: 9:30am-12:30pm

Where: Guildford College, Stoke Road, Guildford, GU1 1EZ7

The first time we were involved in a TEDx event was back in 2017 when ramsac’s Executive Chairman, Rob May gave a talk; Your human Firewall – The Answer to the Cyber Security Problem. To date that talk has had over 260,000 views on YouTube, 269,000 views on TED.com and has spawned multiple books.

Commenting on this latest TEDx event Rob said:

“Speaking at TEDxWoking in 2017 was a game-changer for me. It forced me to rethink my ideas, step well outside of my comfort zone, and led to conversations and opportunities I otherwise wouldn’t have had. That’s exactly why I’m so passionate about supporting TEDxGuildford through ramsac. As the secure choice, we empower organisations to navigate the fast-moving world of technology with confidence, and there’s a real alignment with TEDx. It’s about bringing people together to challenge thinking, drive innovation, and create meaningful change.

We’re also thrilled to be hosting the event at Guildford College. It’s a fantastic venue, and we’re proud of our strong relationship with the college and the wider education community. Inspiring the next generation of thinkers and leaders is something we truly believe in, and it’s great to see TEDx providing a platform for fresh ideas in such a fitting setting”.

– Rob May, Executive Chairman, ramsac
