Our leadership team
Rob is one of the founders of the business and our Managing Director, he is responsible for our strategy and culture. He is very well known in the world of information security and travels the world giving talks and provoking thought. He is UK Ambassador for Cybersecurity with the IoD and sits on several advisory boards within the industry. Rob loves to educate and is responsible for the ramsac academy. He has a young family, is a keen runner and is a successful author.
Sally is one of the founders of the business and oversees the Finance, Operations and Technical team. Responsible for financial management, procurement, project management, and resourcing, she has a career that spans over 30 years in the IT sector. Working with a number of local charities over the years, Sally is a keen traveller and has recently been set the challenge to take up mountain biking!
Dan is the Commercial Director at ramsac and is responsible for Customer Relations, Marketing and People. He’s been part of the ramsac team for 20 years. He’s really passionate about the ramsac culture – ensuring that we recruit and retain amazing people and empower them to deliver the best service and solutions for our clients. Outside of ramsac, Dan is the Chair of St John Ambulance in his home county of Sussex, he is an active First Responder for the South East Coast Ambulance Service and he is President of the Challenger’s Business Club.
Paul heads our Support and IT Operations teams, as well as being responsible for our internal IT systems, information security and GDPR compliance, reporting, automation and product direction. Paul has worked in IT for nearly thirty years, with the last twenty at ramsac. Outside of work Paul is a keen canoeist, mountain biker and builder of Lego.
Head of Technical Services
Peter Tooke heads our Technical Team, who are responsible for delivering projects and looking after the technical aspect of our client’s businesses. He is passionate about having processes in place that allow the team to deliver consistently outstanding service, as well as getting stuck into “unsolvable” problems! Peter has been at ramsac for 14 years in different roles and lives in Sussex with his wife and 2 cats. Outside of work, he loves running and seeing live music.
Matt Longman manages our Relationship Team and is responsible for all relationship and account management for our clients. Matt has been with ramsac since 2015, having many years’ experience in tech roles across a range of industries prior to this. Matt’s mission is to help our clients put the right solutions in place to help their business thrive and to ensure every ramsac client is well looked after.
Jonathan Dobson leads our support team with responsibility for customer service, technical expertise and ongoing development of our support function. Jonathan has over 20 years’ experience working in IT Support, he is really passionate about developing and nurturing our own home grown talent and seeing them blossom and become talented IT Professionals. He lives with his wife and dog in West Sussex, where he enjoys eating out and cycling.
Magda Middleton is our head of finance and is responsible for all aspects of running the internal Accounts and Finance department, including reporting, budgeting, payroll and credit control. Magda is a qualified accountant with 15 years’ experience in managing SMEs finance, though numbers are her only interest: she’s also a passionate cellist, an avid bookworm and a cat lover.
Charlie Thompson heads up our IT Operations team, responsible for proactively monitoring, automating, and reporting on client services, and facilitating client joiners/leavers. Charlie is also responsible for building ramsac’s Cybersecurity capabilities to offer our clients the best protection possible against Cybercrime. Charlie is passionate about IT and delivering services that consistently strive to protect our clients’ systems and proactively avoid incidents or outages. Outside of work, Charlie is active in the local Scouting community and enjoys spending time with his partner and cat.
The teams that make up ramsac
Our leadership team is responsible for strategy and the direction the company will take, as well as managing the day to day running of ramsac. The team is made up of 4 directors and 6 team managers from across the business who meet regularly to discuss issues affecting the business and to develop ideas for the future growth of ramsac.
The commercial team is responsible for sales, marketing, and client retention. It is made up of the relationship team who are responsible for managing all existing customer accounts, providing them with technical advice, strategic roadmaps, budgets and quotes. Also in the team is the Marketing Manager who delivers our web, communication and customer acquisition strategies and our Relationship Development Manager who works on new business opportunities.
The finance team look after all elements of the financial management of the business. From direct debits to invoicing, paying suppliers to preparing our payroll, the finance team ensure that everything is properly accounted for and help clients with payment queries.
The operations team is responsible for ensuring that all our onsite activities are delivered in a planned and timely manner. They are responsible for our order management, project management and onsite scheduling, coordinating all project components, including suppliers and third parties, they look after client renewals, office facilities and reception here at HQ. They ensure our clients have smooth project implementations, they set up and manage client service contracts and make sure that our field-based team are in the right place at the right time!
The support team’s main focus is assisting our clients with any technical issues they may have. First line support is responsible for taking the initial details of a case, logging it, and assigning it with the appropriate case priority, our support apprentices also sit within this part of the team. Second line support deal with the majority of our case load, working closely to service level goals. Finally, third line deal with escalated support cases and provide training and support to their colleagues in first and second line.
Our people team are responsible for finding great new talent and then planning and delivering their welcome to the ramsac team. They lead the interview, search and selection process, they plan detailed company inductions, they run our benefits programmes and they deliver training to new and experienced colleague in line with the developing skills strategy
The technical team spend most of their time out of the office on client sites. They are comprised of our Field Support Consultants who provide deskside IT assistance to end users, Technical Engineers who work to support project delivery and Technical Consultants who are our most senior technical resource and lead on project delivery and client network management.
IT Operations team
Our IT Operations Team provide the monitoring and reporting element of the totalIT service, drive opportunities for the automation and streamlining of support tickets, and process new starter/leaver requests for our clients. IT Operations also deliver services such as Phishing and Security Awareness training, and are responsible for growing and developing ramsac’s Cybersecurity services.
