ramsac appoints Charlie Thompson as new Head of IT Operations

ramsac Charlie appointment blog

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Charlie Thompson to ramsac’s leadership team. Charlie joins us in the newly created position of Head of IT Operations and will be developing our IT Operations team in the delivery of IT management, monitoring and cybersecurity services.

This newly created team brings together a number of the services that we’re already providing to our ‘totalIT’ managed IT clients, such as our 24/7 system monitoring, our remote IT admin, management and reporting services and our cyber incident response, whilst also bringing on board new roles to support the growth of our proactive cyber services, enhanced cyber monitoring, cyber essentials and enhanced cyber response and consultancy services.

Speaking of Charlie’s appointment, ramsac’s managing director Rob May said,

‘Charlie has joined our leadership team at a really exciting time and during an important phase of our strategic growth. He has strong leadership experience in technology service delivery, largely gained over a number of years in senior positions at Zurich Insurance. He will be instrumental in growing and supporting our IT Operations Team and supporting the development of several new cybersecurity services which we have planned as part of our longer-term ramsac vision. This expansion to our senior team is a key part in our current business plan and I’m delighted that Charlie has already hit the ground running.’

Speaking of his appointment, Charlie added,

‘It’s a really exciting time to be joining ramsac. I was immediately drawn by the very clear culture that the firm demonstrated both throughout the recruitment process and that which I’ve witnessed since joining. I knew immediately that the company’s values around the investment in their people, their professionalism and their dedication to customer excellence, aligned strongly with my own. ramsac’s focus on culture is important to me and I am very motivated to be a part of ramsac’s exciting growth journey.  I’ve quickly settled in to my new team and I’m looking forward to meeting our customers and to recruiting additional colleagues to join me in the coming weeks.’
